| The Movie:
A Predator spacecraft unwittingly carrying a dangerous Alien hybrid crash-lands on Earth in a small Colorado town. Chaos breaks loose as the deadly creatures are unleashed upon the unsuspecting citizens, and the survivors must band together to stay alive. But the Aliens aren’t the only monsters they must contend with as another Predator arrives to hunt the “Predalien” and the just-as-inhuman military seeks containment.

Special Features:
Not only was this sequel far superior to its predecessor, but the AVP-R Unrated DVD is so cram packed with special features, it might erase the original Alien Vs, Predator from your memory altogether.
New to the feature film business, The Brothers Strause are obviously quite excited to show off their first movie on DVD. Not only are both commentaries included on the disc insightful, they are quite entertaining too. The only flaw is screenwriter Shane Salerno who tries a little too hard to crack jokes.
Luckily the Strause Brothers are not only fans of visual effects, but they seem to be in awe of the Alien and Predator characters themselves. The detailed featurettes included on the disc are exceptional, focusing on nearly ever element in the production process. Audiences will be fascinated to learn how the editor was able to cut pre-visualization footage with the actual film, the amount of fights that were handled by 2nd unit and which sets were created entirely using computers. Perhaps most entertaining of all is discovering the nickname for the infamous “PredAlien”.

Overall:
A decent attempt at taking the Alien and Predator franchises back to their muscular, horror roots; AVP-R is a nice evolution for the crossover series. With an outstanding DVD, Aliens Vs. Predator Requiem is a must watch for fans of the series.
